Your Child's Attendance Matters ~ A lot!
Across the motu kura are trying to increase attendance. In 2023, our attendance improved by 10%, so that 53% of our students were attending regularly (that's 90% of the time). The more your child attends, the greater their learning. We are aiming for our tamariki to attend 90% of the time. Did you know that if your child has an average of 1 day off school a week over from by the time they finish Year 12, they will have had 1 year and 2 months away from their learning? One day off a fortnight equals 8 months.
That's potentially a lot of missed learning. Good habits start today.
