On Monday 9th of November , Mayor Neil Sinclair attended an assembly at Strathmore school and prsented the Enviroschools Bronze Award.

The Mayor was accompanied by Bridget Watkins, Enviroschools Facilitator and James Piddock, Environmental Monitoring Officer. Our guests were taken on a short guided tour of the school by some members of the schools Enviro Committee.They were most impressed to see the work on Vegetable Gardens and Recycling that has taken place and the knowledge of the students.

After the Assembly and Presentation of the Award our guests were joined by the staff for morning tea.

The Enviro Committee, Staff and Pupils now look forward to begining work toward the Silver Award.
